Linton Parish Council - Linton Kent

Welcome to the official website of Linton Parish Council.

Linton is a picturesque and historic village situated on the Greensand Ridge to the south of Maidstone, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Weald of Kent. With its rich heritage, stunning views, historic buildings and strong sense of community, Linton remains one of Kent’s most attractive rural parishes. The village is home to the historic Church of St Nicholas, the Grade I listed Linton Park estate, local businesses, community facilities and valued open spaces that contribute to its unique character.

The Parish Council is committed to representing the interests of residents, protecting and enhancing the local environment, and helping to ensure that Linton remains a thriving place to live, work and visit. Working closely with Maidstone Borough Council, Kent County Council and local organisations, the Parish Council considers planning applications, addresses local concerns, supports community initiatives and helps maintain important parish assets and amenities.

This website provides information about the work of the Parish Council, upcoming meetings, agendas and minutes, local news, planning matters, community projects and useful contacts. We encourage residents to stay informed, attend meetings and share their views on matters affecting the parish.

Whether you are a long-standing resident, new to the village or simply visiting, we hope you find this website informative and helpful. Together, we can continue to preserve Linton’s heritage whilst supporting a vibrant and sustainable future for our community.
